Following the Circular Threads (2021) study, carried out by Tondo in collaboration with the Associazione Tessile e Salute, Ren, and Fondazione Pistoletto, the aim is to continue the analysis of the sustainability and circularity levels of the Italian textile industry by developing a concrete and forward-looking project.
This gave rise to Circular Threads 2.0, with the goal of identifying both the opportunities and challenges related to the implementation of circular economy principles within the textile sector. The objective is to increase the rate of recycling, reuse, and recovery by selecting and showcasing the most relevant pilot projects, with a focus on ecodesign, innovative materials, business models, and recycling technologies.
Circular Threads also aims to serve as a digital platform for the dissemination of circular practices and innovative projects in the textile industry, with a perspective that spans both national and international contexts.
It is designed as a true hub to support companies with useful resources, including case studies, guidelines, and practical tools, to facilitate the adoption and enhancement of sustainable strategies throughout the entire supply chain.
